Mr Brock attended medical school at the University of Edinburgh. During his training, he also completed an intercalated degree in sports science medicine (BSc Hons 1st class). His research was on the surgical management of knee injuries.
Mr Brock also has an MSc in surgical sciences and an MRes in clinical research, both of which he obtained distinctions for. His MRes degree was on the use of compression bandages following knee replacement.
Mr Brock has specialised in orthopaedic surgery since 2011. His orthopaedic training was in the North-East of England. After completion of training, Mr Brock undertook fellowships in Auckland, New Zealand (1 year) and Northumbria Healthcare, North-East England (1 year) specialising in trauma, joint replacement surgery and revision surgery. Mr Brock performed over 100 revision procedures during his post-training fellowships.
Mr Brock works at South Tees hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is part of the revision surgery team there and this unit is the regional hub for revision surgery. Mr Brock performs approximately 30 revision surgeries and 150 primary hip and knee replacements per year. He also participates on the on-call trauma rota in James Cook hospital which is a regional trauma centre.
He is currently the clinical lead for joint replacement in the trust and has developed the day case hip replacement service at the Friarage hospital, Northallerton. He was previously the clinical audit lead within the trust. Mr Brock has a surgical trainee and a surgical practitioner with him in clinic and theatre at South Tees hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Tim Brock is from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He attended medical school at the University of Edinburgh. During this time he also did a Bachelor of science degree in sports medicine, with his research being on the surgical management of knee injuries, obtaining a 1st class honours degree. He has an MSc in surgical sciences and an MRes in clinical research, both of which he obtained a distinction for. His MRes degree dissertation was on compressive dressings after total knee replacement.

He has worked as a doctor since 2008, specialising in orthopaedic surgery since 2011. He trained in the North-East of England. After completing his training, Mr Brock spent 1 year in Auckland, New Zealand specialising in joint replacement surgery and trauma surgery, and 1-year in Northumbria Hospitals NHS Foundation trust, specialising in joint replacement and revision surgery.
